Paying for email and cloud storage with USDT: what to expect
Some email and cloud-storage providers accept USDT or USDC for subscriptions. The checkout works like other crypto orders, with a few points specific to services you keep for years. This page covers the mechanics only; it is not financial advice and says nothing about prices.
The usual flow
- Choose a plan and sign in or enter the account details the provider asks for.
- Select the cryptocurrency option. Providers either hand you to a payment processor’s invoice page or show the invoice on their own site.
- Pick USDT or USDC and the network. See which network is which.
- Send the exact amount before the timer ends and wait for confirmations. The how to pay checklist has the details.
Things to know
- Prepaid periods. Crypto payments usually cover one term and do not renew by themselves. Note the end date and pay the next invoice before it lapses.
- Lapsed accounts. Read what happens to your mail or files if a payment is late: grace periods, read-only mode or deletion differ by provider.
- Keep your own copy. Export or back up mail and files so a missed payment never puts the only copy at risk.
- Refunds. Check the provider’s refund terms before paying; crypto orders may be handled differently from card orders.
